Bangladesh, July 19 -- Facebook has restored its service after a disruption lasting about two hours affected users in Bangladesh and several other countries.

Advertisement Users in Bangladesh began reporting problems accessing the social media platform shortly after 1:30pm on Sunday, with many seeing an "Account Temporarily Unavailable" message instead of their usual news feed.

The access was restored around 3:30pm.

The error message told users their account was temporarily unavailable because of a site issue and asked them to try again after a few minutes.

The problem mainly affected users trying to access Facebook through a web browser, while the mobile app continued to work for many users.
