Bangladesh, Sept. 27 -- Envoy Textiles has reported a 2 per cent decline in profit to Tk 1.38 billion in FY26, mainly due to lower revenue caused by fewer working days during the year.

Advertisement Despite the decline in earnings, the company's board recommended a 32.5 per cent cash dividend for FY26, up from 30 per cent paid for the previous year, according to price-sensitive information published on Sunday.

Chairman of Envoy Textiles Kutubuddin Ahmed attributed the decline in revenue and profit mainly to reduced working days, as Eid holidays and the national election disrupted production and business activities.

"The company lost an additional 18 working days during the year compared to the previous year," Mr Ahmed said.
