Dhaka, April 23 -- Residents in parts of Dhaka are set to face eight hours of low gas pressure as urgent pipeline repair work continues in Ashkona.

On Thursday, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company said in an emergency notice that the repairs are being carried out to address a low-pressure issue.

The disruption will continue from 1pm to 9pm, reports bdnews24.com.

During this period, residents in Ashkona, Uttar Khan, Dakshin Khan, Uttara, Koshaibari, Prembagan, Kawla, and areas around Shahjalal International Airport will experience "severe" low gas pressure, affecting household cooking and commercial use.

Titas Gas apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to customers.
