Dhaka, April 28 -- Sudip Chakroborthy, associate professor of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at Dhaka University, has been suspended from all academic activities, classes and all examination committees.

The decision followed his arrest in a case over the suicide of Munira Mahzabin Mimo, a student from the same department, bdnews24.com reports.

A press statement on Monday night said the decision was taken at a special meeting of the department's academic committee last Sunday.
