Bangladesh, Sept. 23 -- The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) aims to bring at least 10 blue-chip companies to the capital market by 2027 through direct listing or initial public offerings (IPOs), said DSE Chairman Mominul Islam on Tuesday.

The companies may include state-owned enterprises, multinational companies or reputed domestic firms, said Mr Islam at a press briefing organised by the DSE at its Nikunja office in the capital.

Against the backdrop of a more-than-two-year-long drought in the IPO flow, a draft of new rules for direct listing has been prepared to facilitate the entry of high-quality securities into the secondary market.
