DNCC allows hawkers to continue business on footpaths until Eid
Dhaka, May 21 -- The authorities of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) have issued a strict warning that the hawkers who will occupy footpaths illegally will face eviction drives and severe punishment after the Eid-ul-Azha holiday.
The DNCC also said that hawkers have been allowed to continue business activities on footpaths until the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha on humanitarian grounds.
It also said that hawkers' activities on footpaths will be prohibited after Eid as part of the corporation's efforts to make the capital's footpaths free from illegal occupation.
