Dhaka, April 16 -- Rail communication between Dhaka and Mymensingh resumed early Thursday after remaining suspended for nearly four hours due to a fallen tree on the railway track.
The disruption occurred around 9:30 pm on Wednesday near Jabbar's Mor in the Bangladesh Agricultural University area when a tree was uprooted by strong winds and collapsed onto the track, halting all train movement on the route.
As a result, the Mymensingh-bound Jamuna Express was stranded near the spot, causing temporary inconvenience for passengers.
After receiving the information, police and members of the university fire service station rushed to the scene.
Rescue work began around 10:00 pm after an emergency call was made to 999.
