Dhaka, April 16 -- A college student has allegedly died in Chattogram after being thrown an eight-storey elevator shaft.

He is believed to have entered the under-construction building in an attempt to escape his attackers, reportss bdnews24.com.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Mousumi Residential Area of Bakalia Access Road in Chawkbazar Thana.

The deceased has been identified as Ashfaq Kabir Sajid, 17. He was a student in 11th grade at BAF Shaheen College Chattogram.

Police say they have arrested four people, including the prime suspect, over the incident.

They have petitioned the court for permission to question them in custody.

The arrestees have been identified as Ayman, 24, Enayet Ullah, 47, Mishkatul Kayes, 19...
