Bangladesh, Oct. 15 -- Bangladesh and the Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank) have agreed to strengthen cooperation and expedite financing for major power sector projects, including the expansion of the Payra Thermal Power Plant and upgrades to the country's electricity transmission and distribution networks.

The commitment came during a meeting between the Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Iqbal Hassan Mahmood and a high-powered delegation of China Exim Bank led by its President, Wang Chunying.
