BSEC seeks IMF support to deepen Bangladesh's sustainable bond market
Bangladesh, July 22 -- The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has sought technical support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to accelerate the development of the country's sustainable bond market, aiming to mobilise long-term financing for climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable projects.

The issue came up at a meeting held at the BSEC headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday between senior officials of the securities regulator and a six-member delegation from the IMF's Climate Policy Diagnostic Technical Assistance Mission, according to a statement issued on Wednesday.
