Bangladesh, July 23 -- The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has sought technical assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to accelerate the development of the country's sustainable bond market and mobilise long-term private capital for climate-resilient investments.

Advertisement The issue was discussed at a meeting between senior officials of the securities regulator and a six-member delegation from the IMF's Climate Policy Diagnostic Technical Assistance Mission. The meeting was held at the BSEC headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday, according to a BSEC statement issued on Wednesday.
