Bangladesh, Sept. 17 -- BRAC Bank has emerged as the only Bangladeshi lender among Forbes' 500 top-performing banks globally, securing the 73rd position in the lower mid-size category in the US magazine's inaugural ranking.

Advertisement The "World's Top Performing Banks 2026" ranking, published on September 9 in partnership with market research firm Statista, assessed banks from 89 countries based on financial performance and balance-sheet strength and resilience, according to Forbes.

The recognition makes BRAC Bank the first Bangladeshi lender to feature in the Forbes ranking, placing it alongside banks from major financial markets.
