Bangladesh, Sept. 12 -- Bangladesh Railway (BR) has proposed Tk 106-million fund for allowances of its officials and employees under a rail-line installation project doubling the cost than the original estimate, official sources said.

Advertisement In the revised project proposal, the railway authorities have earmarked Tk2.49 billion for consultancy services, Tk 20 million for procuring oil and lubricant for the cars and vehicles for building the rail line between Sirajganj and Bogra, they said.

The BR has also increased the cost for purchasing 11 cars, microbus, pick-ups and motorcycles to Tk 83.78 million at the revised proposal from that of Tk 30.50 million in the original estimate.
