Bangladesh, Sept. 29 -- State-run Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) is eyeing the introduction of artificial intelligence-based automation in entire fuel import and marketing systems, from mother vessels in outer anchorage to consumer ends at petrol pumps to curb pilferage, check contamination, and reduce costs.

Advertisement The BPC has been searching out for an appropriate software-based system for smooth introduction of the automation system, BPC Chairman Md Rafiqul Islam said on Monday.

The BPC chairman expressed the government's intention for automation during a seminar titled, "Depot automation for the companies under BPC," organized at its local office in the city.
