Dhaka, March 11 -- The Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has revised its fuel distribution policy for divisional cities to maintain a stable fuel supply in the country amid the ongoing global crisis.

According to a press release signed by BPC Secretary Shahina Sultana, the corporation has decided to reduce the supply of octane and petrol to filling stations in divisional cities by 15 per cent compared to their average sales.

Earlier, authorities had instructed a 25 per cent reduction in fuel supply to these cities. However, considering public demand and the need to maintain adequate fuel availability, the decision has been revised, lowering the reduction rate to 15 per cent instead.
