Bangladesh, July 19 -- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has reported higher income in the election year, while its spending has tripled from a year earlier.

Advertisement A BNP delegation led by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi submitted the party's financial statement for the 2025 calendar year to Election Commission (EC) Secretary Akhter Ahmed on Sunday.

According to figures shared by Rizvi, the BNP earned Tk 221.96 million last year and spent Tk 152.61 million.

Including this year's surplus, the party's fund now stands at more than Tk 280 million, including its previous balance.

In 2024, the party reported income of Tk 156.59 million and expenditure of Tk 48 million.
