Bangladesh, Sept. 29 -- Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat today (Tuesday) said Bangladesh plans to sign an agreement in October to purchase 10 Airbus aircraft as part of efforts to expand Biman Bangladesh Airlines' fleet.

Advertisement "Yes, we are buying 10 Airbus aircraft. Inshallah, the agreement will be signed in October," he told journalists at the Secretariat, BSS reports.

The minister said that the Airbus aircraft could begin arriving in 2033, with deliveries continuing through 2036 or 2037.

Aircraft cannot be purchased for immediate delivery, he said, explaining why the government was placing orders years in advance.
