Bangladesh, Oct. 7 -- Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has urged the World Bank to scale up funding and expand the scope of projects aimed at promoting sustainable water management in the nation's readymade garment (RMG) sector.

The call was made during a high-level bilateral meeting between a World Bank delegation, led by Mara K. Warwick, Regional Director for Sustainable Development in South Asia, and BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara on Wednesday.

BGMEA Director Md Hasib Uddin and senior World Bank specialists were also present at the discussion.
