Dhaka, May 16 -- Investigation into a robbery case filed a year ago has revealed that a group of suspects first stole cows from Sirajganj and supplied the beef to different super shops in Dhaka, police say.

One of the three arrestees confessed to the crime before a court on Thursday, Sholonga Police chief Ali Aslam said on Saturday, bdnews24.com reports.

The arrestees are Ripon alias Hasan, 24, from Daulatpur Upazila in Manikganj, Zia Hossain, 45, from Ashulia Union of Dhaka, and his associate butcher Abdul Alim, 42, a resident of Bera Upazila of Pabna. Alim is also a tenant in Ashulia.

Zia and Alim were the suppliers.
