Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- Bangladesh and Malaysia have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of religious affairs.

Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad and Malaysian Religious Affairs Minister Dr Zulkifli Hasan agreed on this issue in a virtual meeting held on Tuesday, a handout said on Wednesday.

In his speech, Kaikobad emphasised the exchange of mutual experiences and the best practices in the development of Hajj management, zakat administration and the religious education system, reports BSS.

He stressed the need for increasing efficiency in conducting Hajj activities, ensuring transparency in zakat management and developing the capacity of the concerned officials.
