Ban export of jute silver: BJA
Bangladesh, July 21 -- The Bangladesh Jute Association (BJA) has urged the government to immediately ban the export of jute silver, alleging that the practice is undermining the country's jute sector while allowing exporters to enjoy an unjustified 10 per cent cash incentive.Newspapers

In a press release issued on Monday, the association said raw jute exports have remained suspended since the Ministry of Commerce imposed conditions on such exports through a notification issued on September 8, 2025, to ensure adequate raw materials for domestic industries.
