Dhaka, March 19 -- Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee said the opposition should highlight the government's good works and draw attention to its mistakes rather than simply criticizing it.

"The opposition's role is not merely criticism but cooperation with the government and pointing out its errors. In this way, they should cooperate with the government in Parliament," he told an iftar mahfil at Collectorate School ground here in honor of July martyrs and injured, BSS reports.

Anee said the government has completed one month in office, and everyone should remain patient. Both the ruling party and the opposition must show patience, he said.
