Bangladesh, Aug. 18 -- Bangladesh is set to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) traffic management system on its busiest highway in a bid to restore order on the route.

Advertisement Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed will officially inaugurate the system across the 250km stretch of the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway on Tuesday.

A total of 1,470 cameras have been installed along the road to monitor traffic and automatically issue fines for violations, reports bdnnews24.com.

Highway Police officials noted that thousands of vehicles of multiple types use the country's busiest highway every day. Reckless driving leads to minor and major accidents on an almost daily basis.
