Dhaka, March 3 -- Bangladesh Railway has launched advance ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr travel, beginning with trains heading towards the western region of the country.

The sales began at 8:00 am on Tuesday, specifically for passengers intending to travel on March 13.

The entire quota of Eid tickets is being processed through online platforms, with the sale period scheduled to run until March 9.

Return journey tickets are set to go on sale from March 13 to March 18, bdnews24.com reports.

Tickets for inter-city trains in the western zone are now available, while those for the eastern region will go live at 2pm, according to Rezaul Karim Siddique, the public relations officer at the Ministry of Railways.
