Dhaka, July 2 -- AB Bank PLC has recently supported the inauguration of 'Bangla QR' usage at Bangladesh Bank's Sylhet office on 1st July, 2026.

The inauguration program was arranged by Bangladesh Bank Karmachari Vogyanno Sorboraho and Sanchay o Rindan Somobay Samiti Limited (SIKO), with the support of AB Bank, to promote cashless transactions and facilitate the implementation of mandatory digital payments for various government services through 'Bangla QR', according to a press release.

Dharani Kanta Das, President, SIKO, presided over the program while Khaled Ahmed, Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, was attending the program as the chief guest.
