Bangladesh, Aug. 18 -- Bangladesh has recorded seven more deaths from measles and symptoms associated with the viral disease in the past 24 hours until Monday 8:00am, taking the cumulative death toll from the outbreak since March to 915, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Advertisement Five of the latest symptomatic deaths were reported in Dhaka Division, which has recorded the highest number of deaths since the outbreak began on March 15.

The DGHS, in its latest bulletin, said 50 new confirmed measles cases were detected during the 24-hour period.

Of the 915 deaths recorded since March, 99 were confirmed measles cases, while 816 people died with symptoms consistent with the disease.
