Dhaka, May 10 -- CHATTOGRAM, May 09: Five people were killed and at least 10 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway in Chunati on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Rehena Begum, 60, wife of Badiul Alam from Pachuria in Patiya upazila; Abdullah Jihad, 25, a member of Border Guard Bangladesh; Md Naeem, 23, from Jhenidah district; Monir Ahmed, 25, from Bhola district; and Naimul Islam Jihan, 24.
