Dhaka, April 8 -- Two ships carrying a total of 51,000 tonnes of octane and furnace oil from Malaysia are set to arrive at the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port on Wednesday, a move expected to ease the ongoing fuel crisis in the country.
The two vessels -- MT Central Star and MT Eastern Queens -- are transporting the fuel oil under the supervision of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).
Both the vessels are scheduled to reach the port on the night of April 8, after which unloading operations will begin, said Assistant Manager (Public Relations) of BPC Farzin Hasan Moumita.
According to BPC sources, MT Central Star is carrying 26,000 tonnes of refined octane while MT Eastern Queens is transporting around 25,000 tonnes of furnac...
