Dhaka, March 21 -- At least 16 people, including a child, were injured in a mad dog attack in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The incident took place around 11:00 am on Saturday, shortly after Eid prayers, in the Sadar upazila area.

According to locals, worshippers were exchanging greetings and returning home when the dog suddenly began attacking people indiscriminately, biting anyone it encountered and leaving them bleeding. Panic quickly spread across the area.

Locals later killed the dog around 2:00 pm.

A total of 11 injured were treated at the upazila hospital, while five others received treatment at nearby facilities, including Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
