New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- WASHINGTON - The Trump administration is not letting Ukraine's military aid money expire unspent. It is just spending it on everything except the one thing Kyiv has been asking for loudest.

Sources told Reuters the administration has left requests from Kyiv for additional Patriot air defense missiles unanswered, even as it moves to obligate the full $400 million Congress approved for Ukraine before the fiscal year closes September 30. As of early this week, $307 million of that total had already been legally committed, with the remaining $93 million expected to be locked in before the deadline. The package includes offensive weapons and spare parts for armored vehicles. It does not include Patriot interceptors.
