In the first quarter of 2026, the United States paid $797 million to defense contractors delivering weapons to Ukraine under previously signed agreements, roughly $266 million per month. Between March 2022 and December 2024, the Biden administration transferred approximately $43.4 billion in arms to Kyiv over 34 months, averaging $1.28 billion each month. The gap between those two figures is nearly 80 percent, calculated from Pentagon data and a report filed with the US Congress.
