Sean "Diddy" Combs, the hip-hop mogul now more than two years removed from the stages and label offices that made him famous, is in solitary confinement at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, after a physical altercation that required his removal from general population.

The incident, first reported by Rolling Stone on Thursday, involved another inmate who directed verbal taunts at Combs.
