New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- KYIV - Six employees of the Silpo supermarket chain did not return home from work on Wednesday morning. Their distribution warehouse in the Brovary district, on the eastern edge of Kyiv, took a direct hit during a Russian bombardment that Ukrainian authorities described as one of the largest single-night missile and drone assaults on the capital's region in months. It was also the first in recent memory during which Ukrainian air defenses failed to intercept a single incoming missile.
