Widdecombe, July 21 -- LONDON - Eleven days after Ann Widdecombe was found dead at her rural Devon home, British police have charged a 28-year-old man with her murder. Joshua Kerry, from Rotherham in northern England, was formally charged on Monday and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday. Counter-terrorism police, who took over the investigation after evidence emerged during Kerry's initial detention, are pursuing what they describe as a possible political motive, placing one of the UK's most recognisable conservative voices among a growing list of British politicians killed in recent years.
