BOSTON, Oct. 16 -- Primark is telling American parents to take a $9 Dalmatian coin purse away from their children, six weeks after Britain recalled a purse carrying the same model number.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission posted the recall on Thursday as number 27-028. It covers about 2,100 black faux-leather purses with a Dalmatian puppy on the front, Model No. 2595301, sold from March through June 2026 at Primark stores in the Northeast and in Florida, Maryland and Illinois. The notice says the purses contain "higher phthalate concentration levels." The notice lists no reported incidents.
