Jordanian Air Defense Systems Repel 5 Missiles Launched From Iran
New Delhi, July 30 -- AMMAN - Five ballistic missiles launched from Iran and aimed at military targets on Jordanian territory were intercepted by the kingdom's air defense systems early Wednesday, the Jordanian Armed Forces said in a statement carried by state-run Petra News Agency. The disclosure makes Jordan one of the few Arab states to publicly acknowledge its own military has fired on Iranian weapons in flight during the 2026 war.
"Clear and professional measures made it possible to prevent an attempted strike on the territory of the kingdom, there were no casualties," the armed forces said.
