New Delhi, July 25 -- HARARE - The last time Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored at Harare Sports Club, he was playing for India Under-19 in the World Cup final and hit 175 off 80 balls. That was January 2025. On Thursday he came back to the same ground and made 50 off 19 balls at the age of 15 years and 118 days, becoming the youngest player in the history of international cricket to score a half-century at any level. He surpassed Nepal's Kushal Malla, who was 15 years and 340 days when he scored a fifty in ODI cricket in 2020, and simultaneously broke Gibraltar's Louis Bruce's mark of 16 years and 56 days as the youngest T20I fifty-scorer. Harare has now given Sooryavanshi two specific, very different kinds of history inside eighteen months.
