The gold rate today, Monday, August 24, 2026, is Rs.16,397 a gram for 24 carat and Rs.15,030 for 22 carat, up Rs.88 and Rs.80 respectively. On ten grams that is Rs.1,63,970 and Rs.1,50,300, a rise of Rs.880 and Rs.800 since Sunday.

The number that matters is the second one. Gold rate today 22K has gone through Rs.15,000 a gram, and 22 carat is what almost every jewellery purchase in India is actually made of.
