New Delhi, Oct. 21 -- Google is giving Gemini access to more personal context in Android Auto, allowing eligible users to ask questions that draw on their connected Google apps. Personal Intelligence began rolling out on October 20, while support for cars with Google built-in is due in the coming months.

Those are two different delivery systems, not a simultaneous update to every dashboard. Android Auto runs through a connected phone, while Google built-in integrates services into the vehicle. As The Verge reports, the new feature extends an existing Gemini assistant rather than introducing Gemini to cars for the first time.
