MUMBAI, Aug. 24 -- Apollo Tyres opened 5.77 percent higher on Monday morning and spent the rest of the day handing it back. By the close it had kept about a quarter of the move. More than 52 lakh shares changed hands, roughly twenty-four times what the stock traded a week earlier, and the company put out nothing to explain any of it.

Apollo Tyres finished August 24, 2026, at Rs.445.85 on the National Stock Exchange, up Rs.6.15 or 1.40 percent, and at Rs.445.80 on the BSE, up 1.39 percent. It opened at Rs.465.05 against Friday's close of Rs.439.70, touched Rs.467.40 within the first hour, and slid to Rs.442.10 before steadying. The Nifty 50 fell 0.14 percent over the same session.
