'Godfather of Harlem' Will End With a 2-Hour Series Finale on MGM+
New Delhi, July 3 -- The streets that made Bumpy Johnson will be the ones that close around him.
Bumpy Johnson facing, as MGM+ describes it, "the ultimate reckoning as the walls close in around his empire," with enemies converging simultaneously from political, criminal, and personal corners.
Forest Whitaker, who has played Ellsworth "Bumpy" Johnson through all five seasons, has described the role as the kind of character that reshapes an actor's sense of what performance can hold. The part, Whitaker said, "allowed me to explore the complexity of a man caught between ambition, loyalty, and survival."
