Tanzania, April 2 -- Dar es Salaam. Presidential candidates in the 2025 General Election have met with President Samia Suluhu Hassan to discuss ways of strengthening political reconciliation, multi-party democracy, peace and national unity.

The move comes five months after the election that resulted in President Hassan, who contested under the CCM ticket, securing victory with more than 96 percent of the vote and later being sworn in to lead Tanzania for a second term.

In that election, President Hassan competed against 16 candidates from various political parties, all of whom attended the meeting with the Head of State to deliberate on the future of the nation.
