Tanzania, Sept. 15 -- Dar es Salaam. The Republic has questioned the asset ownership of Chadema Mainland Vice Chairman John Heche, including vehicles, sources of income, and claims that he received money from various individuals.

Mr Heche, the fifth witness in the treason trial facing Chadema national chairman Tundu Lissu, has entered the cross-examination stage by the Republic over evidence he gave in the case.

Senior State Attorney Nassoro Katuga, while cross-examining Mr Heche at the High Court's Dar es Salaam Sub-Registry, raised the issues on Monday, September 14, 2026.
