Defence argues Lissu's words were taken out of context to manufacture treason case
Tanzania, Sept. 5 -- Dar es Salaam. The third defence witness in the treason case facing the Chadema National Chairman, Mr Tundu Lissu, has commenced the second part of his evidence, answering cross-examination questions from prosecutors regarding various matters he stated in his evidence-in-chief.
The witness, who is Chadema's Deputy Secretary-General for Mainland Tanzania, Mr Amani Golugwa, as cross-examined on, amongst other matters, his capability to interpret international observer reports on the 2025 General Election, which he referenced during his evidence concerning irregularities that occurred.
