Tanzania, Sept. 20 -- Dar es Salaam. As the government presses ahead with plans to clear petty traders from informal areas, trader representatives have clarified that they do not oppose the initiative, provided they are allocated alternative trading spaces.

Municipal authorities across Kinondoni, Temeke and Ilala have already begun clearing vendors from unauthorised spots.
