Tanzania, Aug. 20 -- Former Miss South Africa contestant and Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 first runner-up Chidimma Adetshina will have to wait until next year for clarity on her immigration status in South Africa after a court postponed her deportation case to February 2027.

The Cape Town Regional Court on Wednesday, August 19, postponed judgment on whether Adetshina should be detained pending possible deportation, saying it could not determine the matter before the Western Cape High Court rules on her separate review application challenging the decision to deport her.

The matter has been scheduled for February 27, 2027.
