Bangladesh, Sept. 12 -- US-Bangla Airlines is planning another major aircraft leasing deal worth USD 4-5 billion within the next 60 days, Managing Director Md Abdullah Al Mamin said on September 12.

"We will order more leased aircraft worth USD 4-5 billion within the next 60 days," he said at a policy conclave titled "World-class aviation for Bangladesh's economic progress", organized by The Daily Bonik Barta at the United Convention Centre in Kurmitola, Dhaka.

The airline, however, has yet to disclose how many aircraft will be acquired under the planned deal.

Asked about the potential aircraft supplier, Al Mamin told reporters that US-Bangla could not say at this stage whether the aircraft would come from Boeing or Airbus.
