Bangladesh, July 25 -- Thai Airways has reduced ticket prices by 20 percent to 30 percent on selected routes following a sharp decline in global jet fuel prices.

According to reports, the airline lowered both base fares and fuel surcharges after aviation fuel prices fell from around USD 240 per barrel to about USD 110 per barrel as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East eased.

The airline said it had established a dedicated team to closely monitor fluctuations in fuel prices during the recent conflict. Once prices began to stabilize, Thai Airways decided to pass some of the savings on to passengers.
