Bangladesh, Sept. 3 -- SpiceJet is set to add 20 aircraft to its fleet before India's winter travel season as the low-cost carrier moves to expand capacity and plans to operate around 200 flights a day during the upcoming Winter Schedule.

The airline has finalized leasing arrangements with three aircraft operators under damp- and wet-lease agreements. The additional aircraft are scheduled to enter service in stages from mid-October through mid-November, ahead of the travel surge expected around the Durga Puja period.
