Bangladesh, Sept. 20 -- Md Shakawath Hossain, CEO of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC, has received copyright registration from Bangladesh's Copyright Office for a food cost management framework developed from his more than 25 years of hospitality experience.

The copyrighted system, titled "Shakawath's Six Control Points for Food Cost Optimization," focuses on six areas: purchasing, inventory, transfers, portion control, cooking methods and waste management.

The framework connects purchasing, receiving, stores, cost control, finance, culinary and food and beverage operations within a single management approach.

According to the company, the system has been used at The Westin Dhaka, Sheraton Dhaka and HANSA - A Premium Residence since 2023. ...
